- The Prime Picnics are coming up quick!
- Salt Lake City: August 20th

- There will also be a Pride & Polish competition
- Springfield: September 3rd
- Pride & Polish and Truck Driving Championship will be on September 2nd
- This week: 154 total inspections – 97 clean (63% clean rate).
- $7,150 paid out this week for clean inspections
- $100 for owner/operators and independent contractors
- $25 for company drivers
- If you disagree with a violation, contact safety so they can get it reviewed and potentially overturned.
- Use G.O.A.L. (Get Out And Look) when backing.
- When bobtailing, your truck will drive differently than it does when you’re hauling a trailer, be mindful of these changes.

Donna Eckert & Brennon Officer – Logs
- Always keep a paper logbook on your truck just in case.
- Your log advisor’s contact information can be found in the “My Contacts” tab in the Prime Mobile app.
- Personal conveyance can only be used for short movements for non-work-related reasons.
- Log out completely when you put your truck in the shop or are getting towed.
- Log “on duty” when you’re working but not physically driving.
- For example: fueling, loading/unloading, during DOT inspections, and during pre or post trip.
- Any time you’re behind the wheel, your status must be “on duty”.
- The logs department is open 24/7 for any questions you may have.
- Logs classes are offered 13:30-15:30 Monday-Friday at the Springfield terminal.
Dennis Davis – Safety
- When you’re crossing in front of a stopped vehicle, make eye contact with the driver to make sure they see you.
- When you’re walking through a parking lot or yard, wear your neon vest to make you more visible to drivers.
- Always be aware of vehicles and people around you.
- When helping someone back, make sure they can see you.
Justin Kaufman – Road Assist
- August 21-27 is brake checks week.
- Pro Maintenance classes are offered Tuesdays & Thursdays from 13:00-16:00 at Campus Inn.
- This class is open to all Prime drivers including PSD and TNT students.
