Bill Sprague – Safety
- The Springfield Area Memorial 9/11 Stair Climb will take place on September 17th to memorialize the 343 firefighters who lost their lives saving lives after the attack on the World Trade Centers.
- All donations go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to help the families of those firefighters.
- There is a virtual climb option available
Justin Kaufman – Road Assist
- Make sure you’re always doing good pre, in-route, and post trip inspections
- With CVSA Brake Check Week coming up, make sure you’re paying special attention to:
- Airlines
- Do static and applied air brake tests
- Check brake shoes (must be ÂĽ inch at the center of the shoe)
- Free stroke on slack adjusters need to be 3/8-5/8 of an inch
- If you have disc brakes: look for 1/8 inch of lining
- Feel free to reach out to road assist on the Prime App any time
- With winter coming up, make sure you’re treating all fuel (both tractor and reefer) if you’re going to be somewhere the temperatures are below freezing

- Lock Out/Tag Out: when you pull up to the plaza bays, leave your keys in the ignition

- The ordered truck program is becoming more streamlined
- Lease purchase program is coming back this fall
