Expansion Enhances Service To Associates, Customers
Exceptional customer service has been their corporate goal since Prime was founded in 1970, and it remains the key goal today as each and every load reaches its destination - safely, securely and on time.
Prime’s most notable competitive advantage has always been great associates. They are top performers. But even top performers can be more efficient when they work in a modern, comfortable and highly-productive environment. This is the philosophy which drives the current expansion plans at Prime.
Though the plans for expansion are extensive and far-reaching, Prime’s motive is simple - to enable each and every driving and non-driving associate alike to operate in an atmosphere which ensures their ability to perform to their absolute greatest capacity.
Phase One: The Prime Plaza, an inbound/outbound facility with eight bays, was completed and fully operational last Fall.
Prime responded to feedback from driver associates and designed a system to allow trucks to fuel, get a complete DOT inspection, pick up necessary permits and supplies and get out within 30 minutes.
Open since January, 2000 is Prime's 40,000-square foot "Millennium" complex. The Complex includes a fitness center, convenience store, gift shop, movie theater, child care center, styling salon, an expanded cafeteria and will provide other amenities on site to support all of our associates.
Phase Two: A high-tech 10-bay shop and 12,000-square foot expansion of administrative offices was completed in the Spring of 1998. It includes a state-of-the-art training center to be used for driver associate as well as in-house associate orientation classes, in addition to Prime’s ACE II Program, which will provide ongoing career development training.
